AFM Local 802 Rallies to Save the Arts

Today, we stood with members of the Associated Musicians of Greater New York Local 802 to rally at City Hall to protect the arts and to promote the need for arts funding.

City Council Majority Leader Jimmy Van Bramer, who also chairs the Committee on Cultural Affairs and Libraries, and Brooklyn Councilmember Carlos Menchaca were on hand to support a call for an additional $40 million in City funding to be used for culture and cultural activities. New York City inspires artists all over the world, and we want to ensure that the arts and arts funding are protected.
