NYC CLC/NYCOSH 2024 Safety and Health Series: Recovery Ready Workplaces

Wednesday, January 24, 10AM: What is a Recovery Ready Workplace (RRW)? In this forum, participants will be introduced to the Recovery Ready Workplace approach to preventing substance misuse and addiction and to supporting workers who are struggling. After attending this workshop participants will be able to describe the impact of the opioid/substance use disorder crises on workers, families, and employers; explain the connection between hazardous and stressful working conditions and prescription opioids or self-medication with alcohol and drugs; contrast drug free workplace with the RRW approach and review benefits to workers and employers of instituting a RRW program; and reveal the negative impact of stigma.
