#NYC1u: Mapping with Carto

Tue, Nov 15, 2016 at 05:30 PM

A picture is worth a thousand words. This month’s #NYC1u training will focus on one way to visualize information using a GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tool known as Carto. Carto allows the user to overlay spreadsheet information on top of maps so that viewers can easily understand relationships, patterns and trends across a map.

Additionally, Carto has an a feature accessible to users that allows them to map Twitter hashtags so that viewers can see and deploy resources to address issues of concern.
