Plumbers Local 1 Member, Crowd Come to Aid of Injured Woman

Union members help to provide vital services to our throughout our city.  Their professionalism and skill help to ensure that the union label is widely recognized as a standard of quality, professionalism, and service.  This commitment was made evident yesterday when Plumbers Local 1 member David Justino came to the aid of British tourist, Sian Green, who was seriously injured when a cab jumped a Midtown curb.  According to the New York Times, Mr. Justino, who was on a coffee break from his work at a 6th Ave. Duane Reed, worked closely with other concerned citizens to help treat Ms. Green’s wounds, and comfort her as she waited for an ambulance to arrive. 

The New York City Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO, salutes Mr. Justino for his hard work, and commitment to helping others.
