NYC LCLAA Hosts Labor Breakfast at SOMOS EL FUTURO

Albany, NY - This past weekend at the Somos el Futuro Conference convened by the Puerto Rican/Hispanic Task Force of the NYS Assembly, the NYC Chapter of LCLAA held their annual Labor Breakfast, honoring distinguished members of the NY Labor Movement.  Honorees included Terry Melvin, Secretary Treasurer of the NYS AFL-CIO;  Michael McGuire, Director, MTDCPAC, LIUNA and Anthony Harmon, UFT, President, APRI.  The breakfast was co-chaired by Sonia Ivany, President, NYC LCLAA and NYS State Senator, Jose Peralta, Dream Act Senate Sponsor.  The event, attended by over 400 participants, Elected Officials, Labor & Community Leaders, was a proud and unifying moment for labor in New York State.
