32BJ Reaches Tentative Residential Contract Agreement

Today, 32BJ SEIU officials announced that a tentative four-year agreement has been reached on a new contract for roughly 30,000 doormen, porters, building supers and other Residential workers.  The agreement comes after weeks of negotiations with the Realty Advisory Board for Labor Relations (RAB), an industry association representing most building owners in New York City. The new contract includes weekly raises and the full protection of health benefits, and would boost the average doorman’s salary by roughly $5,000 per year.
