Workers' Memorial Day

Every April 28, the Labor Movement takes time to remember workers who have lost their lives on the job.  This year the NYC CLC and NYCOSH were joined by workers from across all industries in the private sector, public sector and building trades.

This year’s commemoration brought attention to workers who have been the victims of workplace violence. The participants recognized the life of William Pena, a NYC Bus Operator who was killed while he was at work by a drunk driver who had stolen a truck.
