Nail Salon Workers are #AllHandsIn for Change!

More than 50 nail salon workers, mostly immigrant women of color, gathered along with supporters in Zuccotti Park yesterday morning for a lively rally in support of the proposed New York Nail Salon Minimum Standards Council Act. The nail industry in NY is broken, and in their own words, workers shared why we need an #AllHandsIn approach that gives workers a voice on how to set standards in the industry. The first of its kind in the United States, this legislation would create a nail salon industry council made up of workers, employers, and government officials.
