Workers, Organizers Visit White House, Testify Before Congress

Today, workers on the front lines of several new organizing efforts visited with President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh.

Workers representing the REI Union, Amazon Labor Union, Starbucks Workers United, The Animation Guild of IATSE, CODE-CWA, and others were able to meet with and tell their stories to the pro-union President.

Earlier in the day, Christian Smalls of the Amazon Labor Union testified before the US Senate Budget Committee. Budget Committee Chair Senator Bernie Sanders convened the hearing to consider whether corporations like Amazon, that are clearly engaged in union-busting activities, should continue to receive federal funding.
