Take Action: WGAE Members at HuffPost Need a Fair Contract by 1/31
The WGAE union contract at HuffPost expires at midnight on Tuesday, January 31. The union has been bargaining a new contract for months, and many important issues are still on the table: guaranteed wage increases, an industry-standard 401k match, health and safety provisions, and the ability to grieve out-of-title work.
HuffPost Union members are not prepared to accept a CBA that does not move significantly on these outstanding issues—and they need your help urging HuffPost’s owners to reach a fair deal with the union before their contract expires on Tuesday.
Employees at HuffPost deserve a fair contract that builds upon past agreements and reflects the changes in the industry since their last collective bargaining agreement was ratified in 2020. Please join us in this action and send a letter to Jonah Peretti, CEO of HuffPost’s parent company Buzzfeed, and other members of BuzzFeed/HuffPost management expressing your support for Guild members at HuffPost, and urging management to agree to a fair contract for unit members.
