Take Action: Support Workers Fighting Against AI at G/O Media!

The workers of GMG Union and Onion Union (The A.V. Club, Deadspin, Gizmodo, Jalopnik, Jezebel, Kotaku, The Onion, Quartz, The Root, and The Takeout) are fighting against G/O Media’s use of artificial intelligence to generate content.

The unions strongly oppose the company’s publication of AI-created editorial content. Doing so erodes trust in journalists, threatens their jobs, and damages their publications. The unions demand that the company cease this use of AI and invest in human workers instead—and they need your help.

Please show your support for the GMG and Onion Unions by sending a letter to G/O Editorial Director Merrill Brown, Deputy Editorial Director Lea Goldman, and CEO Jim Spanfeller asking them to immediately halt this hostile use of AI!
