From CWA-Union.org After trying for ten months to reach a fair contract, nearly 40,000 Verizon workers from Massachusetts to Virginia will go on strike at 6 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, April 13 if a fair agreement is not reached by then. On Wednesday, representatives of labor, community groups and many others gathered at Washington Place and Greene Street in Greenwich Village to remember the 146 workers who perished in the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire.
